Ready Set Goals

It’s that time of the year…you’ve been hearing about it. New Year’s Resolutions + Words of the Year. I love goals!

What can I do to live my BEst life?

The start of the new year is a time to reflect and think about all the things that I am proud of and then lean in on the things I want to do or want to do differently in the new year.

One thing I know for sure - I did NOT do my best remembering all of my 2018 goals. There is one though that I did focus on and it was to have more FUN. I was working too much and needed balance! Personal life, where did you go?

I worked really hard to have as much fun as I could....

I planned fun events and excursions. I took my nieces and nephews to the Blank Park Zoo and Adventureland. I visited friends while they were camping at Jester Park. I went to Walt Disney World with my mom and sister. AND my husband and I went on our first all-inclusive vacation.

Now that was fun!

And I can’t forget to mention all the fun I had with my dog Lady also known as Lady Boo or Boo Boo. We did training classes and had lots of trips to the pet store.

So what are you planning for 2019?

Do you have a big goal this year? Taking it easy or working toward something big?

Here's what I am doing this year...

1.) I'm keeping notes writing down ALL my goals as they come to me. Whether it’s making a note of it on my phone or in a notebook. {{Yay! An excuse to buy more notebooks}} I am going to capture all my random thoughts. I just don't want to forget anything this year!

2.). Once I have my list I am going to really focus all my energy on a few things at a time. Then I am going to keep them in a place where I'll see them daily. NEED that visual reminder.

3.). My trainer suggested that I write a letter to myself to read at the end of the year. I need to include details about how I'm feeling now that I've accomplished my goals. I absolutely love this idea. When I think about how amazing it will be to accomplish my health goals - I GET EXCITED! It motivates me that much more. Shout out to Mike Beiter at Pillar Coaching.

4.) I'm going to tell a friend or family member how to hold me accountable.

5.). Now that I have my goals I'm going to go out there and make it happen.

Just do it!
